Founded in April 2021, XZV Studio operates at the intersection of original storytelling and international co-production.
We are first creators – the minds behind The Sentinels franchise and animated feature film Kappa – and collaborative partners second, delivering on 360° production support to clients across 16 markets.
Collaboration is not just a feature of how we work, it is our architecture. Every project at XZV Studio is structured as a genuine creative partnership, starting from the development through delivery.
We build with our partners – not only for them.

- BEHIND THE STUDIO -
Meet the Founding Duo
CEO & PRODUCER
Vivian Syc
A psychology and English graduate turned media producer, Vivian brings an unusual blend of analytical rigour and creative instinct to studio leadership. Her journalism career, published under the byline Vivian Chong, sharpened her ability to read markets and tell stories that connect across cultures. She co-founded XZV Studio in 2021 and has since built it into a FINAS-certified, MSC-status production house serving international clients with two original IP franchises in active development.
COO & PRODUCER
Timo
An award-winning director and VFX specialist, Timo is the technical and creative engine of XZV Studio. With deep expertise in Unreal Engine pipeline development, motion capture, and hybrid 2D/3D animation production, he has built XZV's production infrastructure from the ground up – earning two Epic MegaGrants in the process. His work on The Sentinels franchise demonstrates what Southeast Asian animation can achieve when technology and storytelling ambition meet.

Original IP is the Long Game
Service sustain us, IP defines us. We operate on both planes because we understand a studio without its own identity is just a vendor. The Sentinels and Kappa exist because we chose to invest in stories we care and believe in, which is the bedrock of our conviction in storytelling.
Stories that Make a Difference
Filmmaking opportunities are sparse in SEA so when Kappa was born, it had to be in service while entertaining. We believe the most durable stories are the ones that change something in a viewer, a community – a small slice of the world.
Southeast Asia on the Global Stage
ASEAN has no shortage of creative talents. What's missing is infrastructure, credentials and institutional ambition to push the region (Malaysia) stories into international logs. This is the very gap XZV Studio is vying to close, with every partner taking role in realising a larger regional mission.
