Malaysia’s XZV Studio receives Epic MegaGrant for KEEN Mart: F.A.R.P. Simulator, bringing the Southeast Asian animation studio’s vision of a transmedia frontier one-step closer.
Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia – XZV Studio, a Malaysia-based independent creative studio, announced that it has received an Epic MegaGrant® from Epic Games. The support will be used to accelerate the production of KEEN Mart: F.A.R.P. Simulator, an upcoming interactive experience set within The Sentinels IP Universe.
KEEN Mart: F.A.R.P. Simulator is the second project with The Sentinels franchise. Together, these two projects represent the studio’s expanding ambition to establish the IP as a cross-platform, culturally-resonant media content with creative roots and storytelling firmly representative of Southeast Asia – crossing over from traditional screens to interactive play, and beyond.
Early Concept // June 2025
The Sentinels is already published on a Fortnite Island (UEFN) under game title <The Sentinels: Siege of Qu-1> as its first project, supported by Malaysia Digital Economy Corporation (MDEC) through its IP360 Immersive Experience programme and an Epic MegaGrant. XZV Studio, together with its production partner Vmagery Studio, is no stranger to the Unreal Engine pipeline, having seeded and grown an original IP from sketch to multi-platform, which includes the use of motion capture and virtual production.

The studio envisions the IP universe expanding into additional media platforms, weaving a cohesive narrative for audiences of all interest. With every entry deepening the lore and broadening the franchise’s reach across Southeast Asian and international markets, this build will challenge both the creators and animators to engage as storytellers over technical execution. Supporting the project to completion will be a team of independent musicians, voice over artists, and others.

About KEEN Mart: F.A.R.P. Simulator
KEEN Mart: F.A.R.P. Simulator is an upcoming interactive experience developed by XZV Studio and Vmagery Studio, set within The Sentinels Universe. The gameplay features Players as retail managers – managing stock, checkout, logistics, and weapons dispensary! Set against the backdrop of an active siege in Central (Qu-1), the project aims to entertain with a series of mini-games and trivia. This island will be developed using the Unreal Editor for Fortnite (UEFN). Scheduled for beta release in December 2026.

From tissue paper in 2020 to today’s transmedia IP universe, The Sentinels franchise encompasses an animated series The Sentinels: Uprising Gaiden (Epic MegaGrant Recipient), The Sentinels: Siege of Qu-1, a shooter-game on Fortnite Island, and currently in production The Sentinels: KEEN Mart: F.A.R.P., expanding on the 150-year narrative and interactive experience.
