Two-time Epic MegaGrants recipient and creator of The Sentinels IP Universe, XZV Studio, has announced its formal collaboration with INTI International College Subang and INTI Center of Art & Design (iCAD) for industry-level workshops for the studio’s upcoming animated feature film, Kappa.

“Kappa is a film about a child who finds his way home with unexpected guides,” continues Syc. “It only feels right that the film itself is being build the same way: with the next generation of Malaysian creatives walking alongside us.” The film’s themes centre on autism awareness and animal welfare, set against the backdrop of an advanced metropolis within an AI-enabled society.
The inclusion of INTI International College Subang and iCAD will broaden XZV Studio’s mission to produce world-class IP from Malaysia. Students participating in the workshop will not just be handing in homework, but rather establishing credentials on a real film. Key delivery for the initial programme will result in Production-ready Beat Board, guided by award-winning VFX and the film’s director, Timo.
